Dead man ruling
Nice crazy story from the US, where the townspeople of Tracy City, TN, have just thrown out their mayor by electing a dead one instead. What an admirably creative protest vote.

Now they are trying to decide who will be mayor? Where is the 'democracy' in that? – he's already been elected. The living have long since blown their chance; now, maybe, the dead have more to offer. It doesn't take much imagination.
