Harrison’s was founded in Enfield in 2008 by Mark Catchpole and named in memory of his Mum, whose maiden name was Harrison. Mark was a newcomer to funerals when he opened. Already a successful businessman, he had for some time also been involved in charity work. Experience had forged in him a strong belief in high-quality customer service, and he was attracted to funerals by the opportunity to apply these values in an area where they could make a big difference to bereaved people. His Granddad was a funeral director back in the day, so it’s probably in his blood, too.
Yes, Mark is something of an idealist and he’s now doing work he loves. He brings freshness to a business too often characterised by complacency and, just as important, he brings a questioning outsider’s approach. He’s a thinker, completely focussed on getting it right for all his clients. He and his team make the individual needs and wishes of their clients their priority. No two funerals are the same. Mark is clever. He makes his business tick. He’s not in it for the money, he’s in it to get it right. He is a great believer in transparency, especially around costs. You will categorically not be encouraged to spend more than you want, and there’ll be no eye-watering sum to be paid when the bill comes in — no unexpected surprises.
Mark is also a notably kind man. He takes the lead at most funerals and his clients speak extremely highly of him. He makes sure he is never overstretched so that he can give every funeral his full attention and energy. As a newcomer to funerals, Mark is not afraid to do things differently if that means doing them better. This is what makes him such a breath of fresh air. He has also learned from the best, especially his funeral arranger at the Enfield branch, Angela Bailey, who has been there since the beginning. The Winchmore Hill branch is managed by Liz Allman, born and brought up in the area, she knows it well and is known by a lot of local people. She came to Harrisons without previous experience in the funeral business but with a passion to help make things better for bereaved people. The Walthamstow branch is managed by Yvonne Dinnall who loves being able to work hard in a cause that brings her a great deal of satisfaction. All are very much members of your community.
Everyone at Harrison’s believes that it is of the greatest importance to care for people who have died with the greatest gentleness and respect. We had a very good look behind the scenes and we talked to Gary Thomson, who spends a good deal of time there. We were very satisfied with what we saw.
One quality above all which is shared by every member of the Harrison’s team is kindness. They are all notably capable but, best of all, they are all lovely human beings — and that’s what matters most.
All the funeral homes are freshly decorated to a high standard. All are painted in bright, neutral colours. There’s no gloom to seen in any of them. If you feel you’d like to ask to see behind the scenes, ask, they’ll be proud to show you. One touch we liked in 2 of the 3 funeral homes was the sofas with high seats, suitable for more elderly clients. You rarely see thoughtfulness like that. Oh, another touch we really liked is that every funeral home is equipped with a bottle of Scotch and a bottle of rum in case you should need a fortifying nip to see you through. Again, something you hardly ever see.
The team at Harrison’s will listen to you carefully and deliver the funeral you want, whether that is formal or somewhat informal. The last thing they’ll ever do is impose their way of doing things. Whatever’s best for you is right for them. If it’s a traditional, ceremonial funeral you want, they’ll do it very smartly indeed. If you want a horse-drawn hearse, for example, you’ll get the best in London — which also happens to be the best in Britain.

I had to arrange a funeral for my wife’s aunt and as a stranger to the area walked in off the street to meet Liz in Winchmore Hill. Within minutes I knew we were in safe hands and as I predicted everything went as smoothly as we could have wished. The liaison between all the relevant authorities was dealt with efficiently requiring only the minimum input from us. Nothing was too much trouble and I felt I could call or email at any time to discuss anything that was worrying me. I can highly recommend them to be sensitive and caring at a difficult time.

I went to the Winchmore Hill branch to arrange my husband’s funeral. I had no idea what was necessary but the manager there, Liz Allman, advised sympathetically and made the process as straightforward as possible.
She listened to what I wanted then arranged the printing of the service sheets, the floral tributes and all the other details. Mark came to our home to listen to our stories and he agreed to take the ceremony for us at New Southgate Crematorium.
All aspects of the occasion were meticulously arranged with quiet efficiency and care. The doves were an unexpected “something special” that my husband would have appreciated. Thank you to all for the help.

The truth stands alone and does not need defending. At a difficult time when you expect some standards of care and understanding. The service from Harrison’s Funeral Home. appalling lacking in every area to provide a warm, compassionate, professional service, Harrison’s Funeral Home was a complete nightmare. The staff claims she has been with them a long time. Even worked in the Highgate branch. So Incompetent, and unprofessional. No compassion or empathy. My family have paid for a man and van service, like a carry on film. The list of failures are simply ludicrous. Staff could not find legal papers, took weeks to have them sent over. Took weeks to collect my brother, with no dates for embalming, by then my mother had flown miles to see her son for the last and he could not be embalmed. I ordered Doves’, no surprise the never arrived. The flowers looked like they had been sitting in the heat for a week. Outrageous. I can not tell you how devastated the event has been. We had to constantly chase the unprofessional staff that took weeks to fax papers, you can not make this up. No special arrangements. very untrustworthy, arrangements constantly broken. Poor management. As far as recommendation goes. No service given, no viewing. no compassionate call’s of update. The worst of the worst service from start to finish.

I have read over 70 odd good reviews of feed back about Harrison’s, I’m sure there was good reasons for the problems, the flowers is down to the florist, the doves could of been down to weather.
Yes a death in the family is always a hard time, and we just gotta remember that the staff at Harrison’s are only human, they do deal with more than one family at a time.

When my husband died recently in hospital I had no idea of what to do or where to go. Fortunately I was advised by a member of staff to go along to Harrison. I went to the Winchmore Hill Branch and met Liz who helped, advised and arranged everything for me. I could not believe the wonderful service and advise given by her. Their Vicar arranged a perfect service ending with beautiful White Doves being released as we left the church. A very sad but perfect day. Even the sun shone brightly, but then my Husband was a retired Meteorologist.

I live in Canada,and was on holiday in London, when I found myself in the upsetting situation of having to arrange a funeral for my Brother.

From the very first call we made and the advice we received to the day itself, the Harrison team provided a level of service and support that made what is a fraught and difficult time so much easier.
Everything was handled in a calm and reassuring way so we felt that we really didn’t need to worry. And we were right. Liz in the office had everything covered. Mark led the team on the day with a relaxed professionalism that was just what we needed.

From the first time we met you at Harrison’s you made us feel comfortable and welcome at a time when we were all so much in shock and not sure how to go about arranging Mum’s Funeral/Cremation. Thank you so very very much for the way you completely took care of my fathers funeral. From day one when you answered the phone at around 4:30am when I informed you of his death, to the final day with the ‘surprise’ doves, you constantly went above and beyond the call of duty. You were polite, funny and made myself and family feel completely at ease considering the difficult circumstances. The horses and carriage were beautiful and people kept commenting on how ‘classy’ the service was. Your team was calm and patient and on hand to answer any questions (no matter how strange as I think my aunt asked one of your drivers if he’s ever seen ghosts!). It also helped that you offered your opinion and helpful suggestions along the way as this is a first for me and I’ve never arranged a funeral before. However, you made the process seem so simple.

I cannot praise Angela at Harrisons enough, she kindly helped us organise our Mothers funeral in September 2016 and supported me through every personal step to give our Mum the perfect send off. Mark was very charming too and they organised 3 doves as a final goodbye from us 3 daughters after the service.Unfortunately our Dad passed way six months later at the end of February. Angela at the Enfield branch was extremely helpful and friendly when our mum suddenly passed just before Xmas, so all of our arranging was done over this very difficult time. It’s never a pleasant experience when arranging a funeral for such a close loved one, but I believe this was as pleasant & stress free as it can ever be. Excellent for our budget and very personal. Angela even brought us a snip of our Mummy’s hair with a rose for each sister.. and organised an extra limo at 9.30pm the night before the funeral! Nothing was too much for us. Our uncle Jan passed away recently. The family was left in shock but realised we needed professional help with his funeral arrangements. We were recommended to Harrison Funeral Home, having been resident in nearby Hertfordshire for many decades. Angela and Mark were very helpful and took us through the process and advised a number of options so that we could make our own decisions about how we wanted to have the funeral carried out. Angela was able to suggest creative ideas for Jan, – Mark was very capable in pragmatic aspects of the funeral and helped us with the hearse which added extra gravitas to the occasion. The staff who carried uncle Jan’s coffin into the chapel were kind, courteous and professional and helped preparations around Jan’s coffin surrounded by beautiful floral tributes which Angela had arranged. We absolutely recommend Harrison Funeral Home – the funeral service went without a hitch and the whole family commented that it was nicely and sympathetically carried out. My heart felt gratitude to Angela and Mark – they offer an excellent funeral service and were very empathetic to our specific needs. A BIG Thank you to all their staff.

We recently lost our dad and had the heartbreaking task of organising his funeral. Harrisons were there to support us every step of the way and we were able to contact them easily. Liz Allman from the Winchmore Hill branch took care of all our arrangements and was so lovely. The personal touches were so heart warming, one example of their kindness – I made my dads floral tribute at college, my first attempt and I was proud of my achievement. The florist informed Harrisons of this and Mark commented on the day of the funeral how lovely my tribute was and then brought the arrangement up through the chapel so we could all see it. It was a gesture that I will never forget. The service from Harrisons was second to none. Thank you from all Georges family x.

Our family lost our dear father earlier this month at the young age of 82. Although it had been expected it was still devastating and I took the task of organising the funeral arrangements.
I cannot express in words the level of service we received from Harrison Funeral Home. One visit was all that was required and we left the rest to them. They were so understanding and very professional with some added extras that we were not expecting but were most welcome.
I can truly advise anyone looking for a trouble free send off for any loved ones that you can use Harrison with complete confidence and I would like to thanks Angela and the team from the bottom of our hearts.

We recently lost a distant cousin, and as my 92 year old mother was down as next of kin and I live 300 miles away, this left me in a position of having to find a local Funeral Directors in the north London area. With the help of the internet I was able to contact several to find out what was offered and the types of costs that my mum might incure.
Happily Harrison’s was one of the many I contacted, and spoke with Angela, who was extremely helpful and understanding of mum’s situation plus being very responsive in getting back to me with answers to my many question’s. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that the cost options and quotation’s were very reasonable in comparison.
Angela was able to satisfy all of our requirements and able to meet up with my sister to cover all aspects for the funeral and help with documentation’s.
We have nothing but praise for all the staff at Harrison’s for all they did and provided on this sad goodbye to our cousin John.
It was not a religious ceremony so Harrison’s were able to provide a member of staff to hold and lead the full service.

My sister and I would like to pay tribute to Harrisons (Enfield). We can’t speak highly enough of them, in respect of the burial of our mother at Edmonton Cemetery, Angela was very impressive from the initial phone call, when she was very helpful in getting back to me almost immediately with the answers to my questions, and when dealing sympathetically with other issues, offering low cost alternatives if there was a choice. On the day everything went really smoothly and Mark, who acted as the Funeral Director himself, was the epitome of professionalism. All timings were spot on and his dealings with us and the other mourners could not be faulted. The final unexpected touches at the graveside included the presentation of a book of condolences, ThankYou cards, and the icing on the cake was the release of three doves, which everyone present thought was very special – really nice touch. Mum could not have had a better send-off.

My father passed away suddenly in January 2017. Once we contacted Harrison’s, nothing was too much trouble for them. Liz came to our house to talk to my mother and myself and really listened to what we wanted, or guided us when we were unsure. After that Liz was on top of the arrangements the whole time. My grandfather passed away in January 2017. Me and my mother were looking for funeral directors and came across Harrison’s in Walthamstow. Straight away we knew we made the right decision for going with them.
Natasha talked us through everything and took our suggestions and what we wanted to do for the day and arranged everything with ease. It was clear Natasha had a lot of experience and made us feel at ease and took out the stress which comes from arranging a funeral.
The guys came on the day on time and everything went smoothly and we were all very very happy with the service and couldn’t fault a thing. Natasha even made some lovely cards to give to the guests and personalised them as requested. They also surprised us with free white doves to release at the graveside after the burial which was a really lovely touch.

A funeral is never an easy thing to arrange. Sharon Davis at Harrison’s was wonderful. She was kind, thoughtful and considerate. She went through everything in detail with me and made it all so easy – it was my first funeral to arrange – my father unexpectedly died so everyone was in shock. Barry Ward – the Funeral Director on the day was marvellous. He arrived a little ahead of time – introduced himself to everyone and explained what would happen. He made sure everything run smoothly on the day. Andrew Pavlibeyi the Minister was sensitive and sincere. He contacted me before and went through in detail everything that would happen and was specific with the information he needed to make the service very warm and personal. And he certainly did that. The East Chapel Crematorium at Golders Green was such an intimate place and matched the warmth of the Minister. It made the whole event – which some family members were dreading – a loving, kind, warm, personal and sincere experience. My heartfelt thanks to you – form myself and my family and friends.

Our mother died in November 2016 and it was the hardest thing we have had to deal with especially because our mum is all we had left and didn’t expect her death. It was very hard trying to figure out where to start. I had started trying to find a funeral home when my brother found Harrison’s. We met Natasha and she was so kind, so sweet and helpful me and my brother feel comfortable instantly. Any questions I had or concerns were put to rest. Natasha organised everything and even gave extra advice on other steps I need to take. Natasha and the rest of the Harrison’s employees went over and beyond to make the day a beautiful occasion even supplied us with free doves which made the occasion so beautiful. She was kind and had a great empathy about her and put us at ease. I have never had to arrange a funeral before and the help we recieved from Angela was fantastic. The service itself went so smoothly and I would like to thank Angela personally for the little personal touches that made the day so memorable. It was a great comfort to us that we knew everything was taken care of and that great care was taken of my brother. Thank you to Angela and the team at Harrisons we can not thank you enough for all your support and help at such a difficult time.

Unfortunately my nan passed away in November and we contacted Harrison’s straight away after a friend mentioning in the past how amazing Tasha was the girl that dealt with them. I asked for her and I couldn’t of asked for better.
Everything was taken care of straight away, even wanting for all of my family members coming to say bye at the house at all hours of night.
Tasha really went above and beyond dealing with absolutely everything and getting it all perfect.
This was such a special and personal day and it all went smoothly and perfect she had a beautiful send off, I can’t thank everyone enough.
Hopefully I won’t be seeing you guys any time soon ! You have such an important job Tasha and take it as serious as it is. I can’t thank you enough.

I would like to thank Sharon Davis and all of the staff at Harrison Funeral Home (Highgate) for their amazing service from start to finish when arranging my nan’s funeral.

The service we received was warm, welcoming and supportive during a difficult time and we are extremely grateful.

We found Harrisons at Winchmore Hill to be a friendly and welcoming place to come, at a time when we were feeling vulnerable and very sad. Liz took care of us extremely well, with compassion and with practical ideas and solutions. These included helpful guidance regarding registering the death at the Registrar’s office, fixing the date for the funeral, suggestions and alternatives concerning the funeral and the Order of Service, taking care of circumstances regarding the Chapel of Rest, and other important and sensitive details. The funeral itself proceeded very smoothly, with Harrisons’ helpful but discreet staff on hand. We have nothing but praise for the way that our loved one was taken care of throughout the proceedings, and for the care and patient attention given to family and friends.

It was with great sadness that out dear Ken passed away in November. To find someone to entrust with the funeral arrangements could have been a nightmare. Fortunately we found Harrison Funeral Home. Liz Allman and everybody at their Winchmore Hill branch gave us every confidence with their caring efficiency. They listened, made helpful suggestions and carried out our every wish. Nothing was too much effort. The day that had been planned went off without incident. Then just before Christmas we were surprised to be invited to a memorial service to celebrate our love ones life. Along with other bereaved families we gathered at a local church. A fitting tribute to our dearly departed.

My father died in December 2016 after a battle with cancer. A friend had recommended Harrisons to us having used them a few years ago for her mother. She told me she had felt that they took all the pressure off her and that she could ring and ask them anything at any time. She was so right! After a very unpleasant experience with another large funeral director, Natasha personally smoothed the path for us and put herself out to remove the stress we were under. From then on we were able to concentrate on giving Arthur, my father, the lovely service he deserved. The music, flowers and minister were all perfect and all who attended said what a lovely funeral it was. I would not hesitate to recommend them to others and although this is not the main issue, they are so much more reasonable in cost than other, larger directors. This is a factor these days and cost can be a cause of stress at a time when we are already grieving. Most of all, Natasha at Walthamstow has a lovely warm, personal, yet totally professional manner and her team at the funeral were also great. Thank you so much for your help at this time!

A friend with no family at all died in December 2016. I have nothing but admiration and appreciation for the lovely manner in which the whole funeral proceedings were carried out. My father passed away a few weeks before xmas which meant it would have been difficult to organise his funeral on this side of the new year. The morning after he passed myself and my family started calling local and recommended funeral directors. Out of all the companies we called I found Harrisons to be competitive in terms of pricing and more importantly I found Natasha to be the most confident and concerned person that I spoke to that morning. She explained the entire process and what needed to be done in order to make sure that the funeral went ahead on the upcoming weekend as we were hoping for without promising things that they could not deliver on.
As a Hindu family it was important we found someone who could accommodate my fathers wishes and respected our rituals. I found Natasha to be very understanding and sensitive to all requests. Not only this but she ran every decision and scenario past myself to make sure we were happy with the issues and did not complain about or reject any change of decision we made on our part, even the one that was made quite last minute!
On the day of the funeral Mark and his team were professional and courteous and again I was kept in the loop in the morning by Natasha regarding arrival times. It was clear that Natasha had communicated to him our needs and we were able to give my father a dignified ceremony with minimal effort on our part.
On behalf of the entire Raja family I would like to thank Natasha and the team at Harrisons for all their help during this difficult time.

Words, spoken or written, cannot fully describe how Harrison(Enfield) supported us with my sister’s funeral on 15th December 2016. With Harrison’s empathy, expertise and experience we gave my sister a loving and personal send off. Angela and Mark were excellent. I believe they understood how shell shocked we were. We received the same service from the team in Winchmore Hill when my mum died 5 years ago. Consideration is given to your budget. Enormous patience was shown for our Caribbean tradition of waiting for the grave to be filled so we could decorate my sister’s grave with her flowers. Being reassured that nothing was a problem made the process bearable.
I forgot to say that also Harrison organise a Candlelit Memorial Service in December where your loved one’s name is read out. It’s a beautiful occasion. Unfortunately, I missed it this year however my sister’s name was read out with my mum’s.
I wholeheartedly recommend Harrison as a ‘Good Guide’ funeral director.

On behalf of my sister Tracey and myself I would like to thank all at Harrison’s Funeral Home, Walthamstow for the kind and caring way in which they helped us through a difficult time in our lives. This being the first funeral we had ever had to arrange we felt completely lost and with Natasha’s help we were guided through each step of planning our mum’s thanksgiving service in the most respectful and dignified way.
Mum could not have been in more caring hands than with Natasha who even made sure that when they collected her she was not alone in there Chapel of Rest she had a companion, a lady of similar age, who had passed away on the same day in the same hospital. We could imagine mum (91) and her friend exchanging stories and they were both buried on the same day too.

On the day of the funeral Martin and Max could not have been more helpful to our family and those that had come to pay respects at the North Chapel, London Crematorium. They just made us feel that we were amongst friends and that it was not just a job of work they both went far beyond that and saw us through the day with care and compassion. Also thank you to Harrison Funeral Homes for the beautiful Thank You cards that Max handed out for our mum after the funeral and also the lovely flowers they personally sent which were displayed after the service with all mum’s floral tributes.
The music that we had chosen for mum’s entry into the Chapel, the middle song and her final music was arranged by Natasha with a media company and it was absolutely beautiful a perfect final tribute from a family that held their mum and nan very close to their hearts.
We can’t thank you all enough for everything you did for us.

Exceptional service from start to finish. Natasha at the Walthamstow Office was nothing more than our Guardian Angel. My sister has mental health issues and Natasha was so good with her making sure she knew what was going on and kept her informed the whole way through. The “Harrison Funeral Home” were very friendly from the start to the very finish, their service was affordable compared to the other agency’s, for their service they take a very small amount of fee of the cost the rest of the money goes out to other organisations linked with the “Harrison” to complete the funeral e.g the Casket, Flowers, Dove, Cemetery, Limos, Hearse, Marker, Extra Bearers, Priest Minister, Flowers organisations.
A very nice woman called Sharon helped me so so so much, I really thank her for helping me with this arrangements, from the start to the finish with a beautiful smile and an ever much kind personality, she is an absolute lovely person, if you’re looking for help with the arrangement than in all fairness Sharon is the person you really need, believe me you will not find any other helpful person than her, from the start to the finish, she will help you with all the arrangements, give you a proper advice and much needed support.
And of course who can forget Mark, I spoke to Mark on the phone numerous times and he was such a nice person, very understanding and cooperative and very helpful, Mark completely took out the sum of £300.00 for the Home Visit, I requested my lovely mam Sofie Zeka to be brought Home, to do so this it would cost me another £300.00 but Mark kindly said “I will remove the Home Visiting fee as I know how hurt you are, I understand and you have my full support and assurance over this” he is a person who is always very willing to help.
Throughout all the funeral arrangements, both of them have been very very helpful from the very start to the very finish. Thank you to the both of you who have helped me in the most hour of need. Thank You From Atrios Zeka

My husband passed away on a Saturday and no funeral director had been able to arrange the church service and cremation for the following week. The timing was important, because my daughter needed to fly back to New Zealand soon after the service. What a relief when we saw Liz Allmann at Harrison, who not only arranged everything in time, but also gave us excellent advice and help.
The care and attention to detail on the day was outstanding and I would like to thank Liz and all the team for their support and service.

I had little experience of arranging a funeral but Liz Allman led me carefully through the process. She found a Celebrant who repected my brother’s wishes for a non-religous ceremony. The little touches of an impressive collection box, thank you cards to all attendees and the In Memory file were appreciated. I could not find any fault with the attitude or service of all the staff. My dear Mum (Amy) passed away a couple of weeks ago and it was her funeral today (3.11.2016). After looking for a funeral company on the internet, I rang Harrison’s (the Walthamstow branch) and spoke to Natasha Mercer. I immediately warmed to her over the phone and when we met, she was everything I had hoped she would be; kind, understanding and super efficient. She made me feel so comfortable and came across as a very genuine person. Nothing was too much trouble. I think Harrison’s have a gem in Natasha and I will have no hesitation in recommending Natasha/Harrison’s in the future.

The unexpected passing of my sister was made that much easier thanks to the compassionate, yet down-to-earth and appropriately cheery service offered by Natasha, at Harrison’s Walthamstow office, and Tim, the funeral director on the day.
Every detail was carefully attended to. Natasha couldn’t have been more helpful and kind, keeping me informed all the way, and introducing me to a florist who met our telephone brief to the letter and a celebrant who hit exactly the right note.
This wasn’t an expense we had planned for. Natasha made it as easy for us as possible, which was the truly appreciated, helping us to keep costs down, without having to cut corners.We had many compliments on the service. But all thanks must go to Natasha and her colleagues for its faultless organisation. Thank you.

“Outstanding” would be how I would describe (in one word) the service my family have received from Angela and her team at Harrison’s Enfield branch when they arranged my father-in-laws funeral. From the outset Angela instantly provided clear information and sensitive guidance and suggestions. She went out of her way to ensure cultural preferences were addressed and kept me informed at all stages of the process. The day of the funeral was faultless, with everything appearing to take place effortlessly. The gentlemen from Harrison’s in attendance at the funeral were impeccably dressed, polite, welcoming and sensitive at every point and made us feel truly supported and cared for. I remain in awe that such an remarkable service was provided for a very low price. If only every industry had a version of Harrison’s – we’d live in a happier world. My father passed away recently and I had heard advice that it was best to enquire at a few funeral directors before making a decision. I’m so glad we did. After getting some quotes from a couple of local places (which I wasn’t totally happy with for number of reasons) I did more research and found Harrison Funeral Home via The Good Funeral Guide. We made an appointment to see Yvonne at the Walthamstow branch. Yvonne was very helpful, thoughtful and sensitive to our needs. She was very ‘down to earth’ and the quote she sent us was very competitive (£1500 cheaper than the first quote from a supposedly competitive high street chain and more than £600 cheaper than a local independent company – my Dad would have been proud of us!) and included everything we wanted. On the day of the funeral everything went to plan and my mother was given a beautiful posy of memorial flowers from Harrison. I would highly recommend their services.

Almost 2 years ago my mum, who was suffering from dementia, went into a wonderful nursing home. The staff there immediately gave me weekend ‘homework’ to research all of my mum’s funeral arrangements and give them the details. At the time I remember feeling quite distraught at this prospect, especially as my mum was still with us and I naturally could not face the thought of there being a time ahead when this would not be the case.
Nevertheless, I dutifully made a number of phone calls. Angela at Harrison’s Funeral Home immediately stood out with her reassuring manner, listening ear and eager helpfulness. I instinctively knew I had found the person who would make the arrangements when the time sadly came.
I was completely confident that having a direct funeral would be the best course of action, with a family occasion at home to remember my mum by those who loved her most. I explained to Angela that my dad’s ashes were in a local crematorium and she replied that she could arrange for my mum’s ashes to be sent there too, when the time came.
Well, the unthinkable happened and my mum passed away recently. On phoning Angela I was surprised to hear that she remembered me and that phone call from almost 2 years earlier. Needless to say, Angela made all the arrangements, just as she promised she would.
Without a doubt, Angela has made the world of difference to me at an incredibly difficult time. My loss is catastrophic. But I am forever grateful that Angela was there to help me through it and take care of everything so efficiently.

It’s fortunate that we have this opportunity to acknowledge our sincere thanks to Mark, Liz, Samantha and all the staff at Harrison’s for attending to our Mother’s funeral arrangements with such a dignity and consideration. Everything that needed to be done was done in a professional yet kindly way. Every request for information or guidance on process or procedure was met with understanding and an appreciation that what was happening was emotionally challenging for all of us..
The circumstances were of course sad and not of our choosing and so it was comforting to know that she was in the hands of people who cared both for her and for we who are left behind.

Although my brother Ed was suffering with terminal lung cancer, we were totally devastated when he passed away. I didn’t know where to turn or what to do even though I always excel in getting things done in my day to day life. Our budget was very limited and so we asked friends and acquaintances for any advice regarding keeping the cost of a funeral as low as possible.
Harrison funeral directors came up twice among the recommendations so we gave them a call. When we went for the initial appointment to arrange the funeral we were greated with total respect but also a friendly and smiling lady that immediately made us feel as though everything would be alright.
Angela went through all of the options available to us and never once tried to persuade us to opt for any costly add on’s. She just seemed to know that we really couldn’t opt for anything extravagant and to us, that was a great help.
Harrison’s collected my brother, cared for his appearance and did absolutely everything they could to present him with dignity and respect. He looked better there than he had done for some time! Every aspect of the funeral was taken care of.
On the day of the funeral, we were greeted by a lovely couple of chaps that explained everything that would happen. From beginning to end, Harrison’s were nothing short of excellent! We were even given two white doves to release as a gift which was so lovely. I can’t recommend them highly enough! I realise that organising a funeral is one of the sadder aspects of life but trust me when I say that Harrison’s were there for my brother and for all of his family and friends and that is the most important thing in my book.

It was a beautiful day and the services at the church and the crematorium were very moving.
Can you thank the gentlemen who drove the cars and the hearse and for helping us to carry Dave into the Church. I have never felt so proud when i carried my brother into the Church. The team couldn’t have been more polite, courteous, and respectful throughout the day.

Harrisons took care of my father when he passed away three years ago and recently my mother, they understood the Cypriot customs and requirements and undertook it all with dignity and compassion for me and my three sisters. They kept us informed in the processes and arranged the church and cemetery details.
I cannot praise them highly enough at a difficult time within our family.

When my Mother passed away, I was left the the difficult task of finding the best, most affordable funeral directors. I was very lucky to come across Harrision of Enfield and immediately noticed a difference between their services and a couple of other local directors I had contacted first.
The arrangements for my Mother were made very simple and felt very humane and caring. The organisation of the funeral and additional suggestions were all very efficient and straight forward.
The funeral went very well, such a difficult day but everything went without any complications and again friendly support from all of the team. I would also like to say how wonderful the Minster was, another suggestion from Harrison.
The whole family and my friends were very impressed and happy with everything, especially the doves!
A big thank you to Angela and Mark for everything they did and continue to do for others in the same position.

Harrisons are excellent, extremely professional and I would highly recommend them. Harrisons conducted both my Fathers funeral in March 16 and shortly after my Brother’s in June 16.Both Mark and Angela where great in helping me arrange both funerals and the care of my loved ones was dignified, caring and professional. I could not fault any part of either funeral and so many of our friends and family commented on how brilliant and detailed each was. I am so grateful I was recommended to use Harrisons at such an unexpected time both for my Father and Brother’s funerals. I would highly recommend anybody to use Harrisons and I would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff at both Winchmore Hill branch and Enfield Highway branch especially Mark and Angela.

Have just used Harrison’s Enfield, what an incredible service, Angela was so helpful. Having contacted other undertakers, we choose Harrison’s because they showed a truly human side, which was in addition to how helpful, thoughtful and efficient they were. Would not hesitate to use them again and to also recommend highly, which I do. They may be extremely affordable but they offer a service far in excess of the cost. First Class.

We buried my dad a few days ago. Harrisons and especially Yvonne from the Walthamstow office were simply perfect. The pallbearers we professional, and you felt they really cared. Right from he first phone call I can only say everything was handled with care, professionalism, with an absolute understanding for the grieving family. I know we dont like to talk about money – but there were no hidden extras – quite the opposite – Yvonne even did thank you cards as a additional no cost extra – and other bits. And the cost was really a lot less than some of the larger funeral directors. I would recommend with absolute confidence.

We have just had our dear mums funeral arranged by Harrisons Funeral Home Hertford Road Enfield.
We cannot praise this Funeral Home high enough – My brother and I have never booked a funeral before and had no idea what to do or what to expect. Mark and Angela were nothing short of outstanding in their empathy and professionalism.
My first dealings with Harrisons was at funeral home in Archway opposite the hospital where I work – where I met Sharon – what an amazing lady – so helpful and kind. She went through everything with me and advised me on everything I needed to know about booking a funeral, I came out of their in tears simply through her kind and caring manner and how lovely she was. After years of mum being in an awful nursing home I finally found somebody who I felt was working with me and not against me. It was a great comfort.
My brother and I then went to Harrisons at Enfield to finally organise the funeral as this was where mum had lived – where we met Mark and Angela.
When you know that you have a funeral to arrange( which we knew for some time due to the nature of mums illness) it is an extremely daunting prospect, you have no idea if the funeral home you have chosen is the right one and we you can feel very small and lonely – however, upon meeting Mark and Angela we knew straight away that we had chosen the right funeral home. You just get a feel for these things. I am so glad that we did, they gave us a “day to remember” we wanted a funeral to celebrate mums life and it was perfect in every way. Mark conducted the service and read mums eulogy because we did not want a minister and he was just amazing. They also arranged for us to release doves after the service which was a really special moment.
Everybody who came to the funeral said it was the best funeral they had ever been to, not too long, beautiful music – they listened to every word, everything about it was perfect, and I took that as not only a compliment to them listening to mums incredible journey through life – but to the professionalism of Mark and Angela who made it possible for us to celebrate the life of the most amazing lady that I have ever known.
Thank you mum for everything, thank you Mark and Angela and Sharon I will never forget that day and all that you did for us.

It’s a daunting task, to suddenly be responsible for the arrangement of a funeral – something I’m fortunate to have no experience of – but thanks to this highly informative web site I found Harrison Funeral Home. They were highly recommended and didn’t disappoint.
Their genuine sensitivity and warmth made the process more comfortable and bearable. We wanted an unconventional send-off that would be fitting for my brother. A life-long biker and ‘petrolhead’, he wouldn’t want hearses and black limo’s. Angela and Mark were really ‘with us’ right away, embracing our ideas and bringing their knowledge and experience to our vision of the day – their attention was never lacking. Angela guided us through the harder parts with real sensitivity and flexibility.
On the day, Mark directed with respectful authority. A beautiful Harley Davidson side-car bore my brother in a bright red wicker casket to the service. As Celebrant, Mark hit exactly the right note: a non-religious celebration of the life. He delivered the contributions of friends and family with warmth and humour, as if he’d been a friend himself.

Angela in particular took it to another level, her compassion and professionalism was second to none, nothing was too much trouble. Mark Harrison conducted our service and he did a marvellous job it was as though he was part of our family. A true family business with all the touches that come with it! WELL DONE HARRISON’S.

The handling of the whole business was conducted in a very professional way, yet still retained the personal touch.
The officiating of the ceremony by Mark was once again undertaken with the feeling of a person that had known my father, some of the poems and sayings he used seemed very appropriate to the occasion.
The added touches introduced such as the Masonic symbol on the coffin the mantle used by Mark to escort the cars, the thank you cards given to the mourners as they left the chapel, the book of remembrance for the family and the grand finale of the white doves for the grandchildren to release all added to an excellent send off for Dad.
Harrison’s Funeral service will be highly recommended by our family.

Harrisons service was second to none. after a loss of a family member no body is in the right mind frame and having to make you mind up on certain things can be very over whelming. This was made so easy by Harrisons. they have fantastic staff (that means you Yvonne) who helped me out in so many different ways and made the whole ordeal far easier. professional and reliable speaks volumes and i am so proud my dad had the send off he did all thanks to Harrisons. the horse and cart was beautiful and the limos was spot on.
We all understand that making these arrangements is a very difficult thing to do but believe me GO WITH HARRISONS.

The service and assistance given to me in regard to a recent funeral by Harrison Funeral Home could not be faulted throughout. Based on my experience, I would have no hesitation in recommending them.
My experience of Harrison has been excellent. My old friend Joan passed away quietly and much loved with little in the bank and no relatives alive. So with her wishes in mind we needed a real budget funeral, so we could put the emphasis on the memorial when all her friends could come. We found Harrison Funeral Home through a newspaper article and when I got in touch they were so helpful and knowledgeable, and able to reassure me about all that needed to be done, that I decided not to look further. A great decision.
Angela and Mark and Yvonne took the sting out of a difficult and sometimes rather confusing time with such grace and human kindness that a couple of times talking to them on the phone I felt tears of gratitude coming on. When you experience that degree of understanding and help just when it’s needed, and you know your friend is being taken care of in a professional and respectful way even on a tight budget — it does provoke a lot of positive emotion. Harrison really made the effort to keep costs to a minimum, stayed in touch all the way through and were extremely responsive to queries. Whenever there was something to sort out it was done with personal care by one of the team and it impressed me that they were so available and that Mark himself was as engaged as any of the team.
I dealt with Angela in the main and she is fantastic. She knew what I was feeling and she provided unexpected and very welcome comfort. But I can see from the comments above and I know from my conversations with the others that they will all listen to you and understand what you need and want. They know just what you are going through and they will all help you along every step of the way with true professionalism and warmth. A golden-hearted crew.
My recommendation is to take good note of this firm! It comes to us all sooner or later and when it does you want to know there’s someone around who will do the right thing and do it well. Surely none better than Harrison.

I have been very impressed with the whole organisation. I was next of kin to an uncle who had very little income and had made no provision for his funeral and I am an OAP So, when he died, I was very keen to provide him with a funeral as economically. as possible. Harrison’s organised the funeral of my late son in law on 9th June.
From the moment we met Angela she came across as a true and caring professional. She was very empathetic but was in no way obsequious. This put us at ease instantly and having visited several other funeral directors in the Enfield area there was no question that Harrison’s would be doing the arrangements for us. As a family, we were not disappointed with our decision.
The professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were made and executed by Mark and his staff were exemplary. His quiet demeanor put everyone at ease and ensured that Everything was carried out to perfection. It was such a pleasure that he actually stayed during the service and commented on the sincerity with which it was conducted, and the quality of the eulogies. This again gave great comfort to the immediate family.
I would like to thank all at Harrisons for a beautiful funeral for my mother Lily. Their kindness and consideration throughout and professionalism was exceptional. There was a special and unexpected moment after the funeral that showed they are willing to go the extra mile for people and provide something personal and heartfelt. My auntie passed away on 10th June 2015 and the funeral took place on 24 June. considering it is such a one off event, you want to hire the best people, as this day will leave an indelible mark, and I did. Yvonne, Martin and especially Mark were absolutely amazing, I could not have asked for more, they thought of everything I didn’t and I highly recommend them. You will not go wrong if you use this company. It was especially hard on the day of my auntie’s death – we didn’t really prepare beforehand and to have that pressure to find a good company to look after your relative and your needs at this time, it was really hard. We needed my auntie to be moved from the nursing home urgently so the pressure was on. I look back and I have no regrets. Thank you to Angela and Mark everything you did to support us as a family. I was so impressed with the kindness, professionalism and respect that you showed myself, my family and my late husband from the moment I walked into the funeral home to organise the funeral through to the funeral itself. We had a specific request inasmuch as my father had died away from home, and we wanted a simple, no-frills cremation attended solely by my brother and me before we took my father’s ashes back home to be buried in his local churchyard together with my mother’s. That’s where the service would be attended by family and friends.
Unlike all the other funeral directors who wanted to sell me their standard package (I didn’t want or need pallbearers, hearses or people in suits stood around looking somber), Harrisons were able and willing to do what I wanted, never making me feel a cheapskate for not wanting a big and fancy funeral. So for that, thank you – I wish more funeral directors would follow your lead.
No words could ever thank Mark, Angela and everyone at Harrison Funeral Home enough for my Mum’s absolutely perfect send off. From the first phone call with Angela when all I could manage to say was all I want is the best for my Mum the BEST is certainly what Mum got. A truly professional service from start to finish filled with compassion, kindness, dignity and respect. Well what can I say…… Angela and Mark were the best, helpful, understanding, compassionate and respectful at this very difficult time for myself and my brother at the loss of our Dad. The service was excellent, with very kind people always available on the phone, always ready to give advice, and very flexible with the opening days & times.
I was also kindly given advice about a florist who got for me beautiful flowers with a very good price and in less than two days!

In the crematorium, the service was great, and we got a ceremony longer than usual, with nobody trying to rush us… The music always came in the right moment as suggested, with perfect timing.
Making a comparison with other funeral directors that I had contacted previously, I found Harrison Funeral Home very helpful people who did no want only to sell the products of their business, but were indeed there to help in all the possible ways.

I just wanted to say a big, big thank you for all of you that helped us through tough times especially Angle and Mark, also a big thank you for helping us to deal with the council. My mum died 9th November 2013. And she was laid to rest on the 2nd December 13. It all went well even at the end we had doves which was a touching moment. I have also been invited to two services to remember our love ones. just before Christmas. Even a few weeks later talking to someone outside my family.
My sister and I want to thank you for your help with arranging our father’s funeral. Yesterday everything went very smoothly and was done in a very caring and respectful manner. We feel comfortable with scattering the ashes in the garden of remembrance, as it appears quite charming.

Harrison Funeral Home in Enfield assisted our family for the funeral service of our dear grandmother who passed away recently. In addition to dealing with the UK funeral service (which went very smoothly), they also arranged for our grandmother’s repatriation to Sicily, dealing with all the Italian Consulate formalities and the transportation requirements. Angela and the rest of the team were very efficient, especially as our grandmother passed away during the Christmas/New Year period when arrangements of this nature can typically take longer. Angela was incredibly patient and compassionate towards all our family during this difficult time and kept us fully informed every step of the way. She offered many helpful suggestions and was happy to assist with ad hoc requests, such as organising the collection of donations to charity made in memory of my grandmother, at the end of the UK funeral service. Having to arrange the funeral of a loved one will always be a distressing experience but Harrison made it as straightforward and stress-free as it could possibly have been under the circumstances. My thanks to Harrison FH for an excellent service over my elderly mother’s cremation. Angela in the office was highly efficient and, crucially, suggested that Mark act as celebrant for the service as well as funeral director, rather than getting in another outside person. This made our non-religious service smooth, direct and generous.
We were given a previous cremation service sheet to act a as model format for our own – a very good idea. And Angela reminded us to keep within sensible time limits, which we did in terms of our verbal tributes.
The organist at the crematorium (Golders Green, East) also contributed ad lib very appropriately, and presented the musical pieces on CD perfectly.
All the congregation ( a very full house) thought the service as good as it could be.
Last suggestion: it would be a good idea for the family to have a look at Mark’s celebrant script in advance, just in case there are aspects that might jar with those present. I was happy with it myself.
Cost? by keeping it simple, as my mother requested, no limousines, cheapest coffin etc, I was pleased and rather surprised at how reasonable it all was.
I just wanted you to know, that all thanks to you and Mark my mum had such a lovely send off, I couldn’t,t have asked for better, and as for the doves well words fail me it was so unexpected and just so beautiful and so apt as my mum loved birds.
I,ll see you soon when I come to pick up the pink heart.

The most lovely company that conducted my late aunts funeral. On a budget, but no one would have known. My mother died recently and I had to arrange her funeral from abroad. I had never done this before and had no idea of the cost. I contacted two funeral directors in my mother’s area both of whom told me very confusing information about costs and procedure. I finally found Harrison’s on this website and spoke to Angela. My father died recently and we contacted Harrison’s among a number of other funeral homes to find out what they could offer us.
As everyone knows, bereavement is a trying, stressful time and one where empathy, consideration and tact are qualities that are needed to best handle a bereaved family.
We contacted Harrison’s and another home to get quotes from them. Immediately, we discarded the first one and employed the services of Harrison’s. From the get go, they came across as professional, courteous and empathetic.
They took their time to take us through the options available to us and in the process really endeared themselves to us. They never made us feel pressured in any way and made sure we were well informed every step of the way.
My father was treated with the utmost respect and dignity. As Africans, there were many customs and traditions that needed to be observed in the process of preparing my father for burial. They were all respected by Yvonne who was a Godsend (my mother can be a challenge at the best of times!)
The day of the funeral, the team were thoroughly respectful and catered to our needs. They allowed myself and my siblings to bear our father to and from the church and lower him into the ground. Every step of the way, they were on hand to assist and support us.
All in all, Harrison’s did a phenomenal job and I cannot fault them in any way.

I cannot express my thanks to you enough. Angela walked we through all the details I needed with care and compassion and made what is a terrible and gruelling time at least bearable. Her concern for Lyn my partner of 28 years was just what I needed and helped me start to deal with my loss.
Our Funeral Director (sorry I have forgotten his name) was very helpful and directed family and friends with gentle consideration. His delivery of both the opening of the service and my written portion was moving and as heartfelt as I could have wished.

Committal and Cremation Service for Ashley Coffey
It seems unbelievable that it is only just over three weeks since we left England with our son Ashley’s ashes and returned to Brisbane in Australia. The days are still hard and painful but we are trying to begin to move forward and collect together as many good and positive memories of Ash’s life as we can take through life with us.
My main reason for writing is to thank you both so much for the gentleness, sympathy, kindness, respect and highest standards of professionalism that you gave to us in our time of deepest despair and confusion to give Ash a wonderful farewell in October 2014 at your own Enfield funeral home and at the crematorium.
The arrangements that you made for us Angela in your own Chapel of Rest, the simple and dignified ceremony at the crematorium very ably led by Mark, especially culminating in the release of the white dove outside the Crematorium Chapel were set at absolutely the right level and I am sure that Ash would have thoroughly approved of everything that we did for him at the end.
You made the whole process so much easier for us, and your advice and counseling given to us as we worked through all of the arrangements fighting somewhat against the clock, were wonderful and we couldn’t possibly have got through this without you both.
We will always remember you as being significant figures in our lives and in our son’s passing.

Harrison Funeral Home made arrangements for our mother when she passed away in August of this year. From the very beginning the service provided by the entire team was professional and courteous.
I would like to give special thanks to Yvonne who as well as being professional when guiding myself and my family through the entire process, was patient and sincere especially at this difficult time.
My wife and her sister recently lost their much loved Mother, my Mother-In-Law. Given how close the girls and their Mother were, this was an incredibly emotional and difficult time for the whole family – due to how hard hitting this loss was for my Wife her sister and their father, it fell to me to deal with all matters relating to the death, including, of course, the funeral.
It comes to something when one can say that due to the incredible professionalism, compassion and kindness of Angela, Mark and the entire team at Harrisons, the least of my worries was the arranging of the funeral.
From minute one, I felt entirely at ease and confident that matters were being dealt with well – I was continually updating close family as to how the arrangements were going, thus many comments were being received as to how incredibly smoothly this part of our bereavement was being dealt with.
It is the small things that make all the difference during these difficult times, the compassion and courtesy, coupled with the dignified way in which the bereaved and the deceased are treated is what causes me and my entire family to be eternally grateful to the team at Harrisons – THANK YOU SO MUCH.
I am really impressed with the services provided by Harrison’s in general and particularly by Yvonne. Of course the loss of my mother was painful, but I have to acknowledge the help, the empathy and the understanding of Yvonne and her team. I was in America, so I could do very little regarding the organization of the funerals. However, due to Harrison’s everything was organized in very professional way. These people are really exceptional. My few words cannot convey my depth of gratitude. I cannot thank the Harrison’s team enough and I highly recommend the excellent service they provide. I just wanted to say a massive thank you to all involved in Susan’s funeral.
Today went perfectly and we were all so very impressed with the service we received and the thought that went in to ensuring Susan had a great send off. The doves were such a lovely touch, my ex-father-in-law was very emotional all morning, but said that the doves was his favourite part and wanted me to pass on his thanks.
Michael was so very happy with the service, which was conducted beautifully, so please thank the chap doing the reading who managed the whole event. It was really special and personal.
And a massive thank you for all your help with the booking and for making us feel like we got a gold service on a bronze budget. I’d recommend you guys to anyone and if you need any references or quotes, then I’d be more than happy to help.
Once again, thank to all the team. You all made a horrible time so much easier, Michael was at breaking point when he called you guys, but now he is really happy that he managed to have a fantastic send off for his mum, the doves were so thoughtful.

We would like to say what an excellent service Harrison’s provided when our brother passed away at St.Joseph’s Hospice. Angela was wonderful in every aspect of the arrangements. Nothing was too much trouble. Everything was handled in a professional and respectful manner. The service arranged was perfect and the Minister was wonderful and very uplifting in his manor. The flowers were beautiful. Every aspect and attention to detail down to the Thank you cards that were especially printed for our family. A very big thank you for the truly wonderful service provided.
I’d never had to arrange a funeral before…so when my mother died (just a month short of 90!) it wasnt easy. I was lucky enough to find Harrisons and spoke to Angela who was terrific, the sort of person you trust and depend on right away.
We had a dreadful problem in that some key documents went missing in the post, so the stress level was very high. But Angela was reassuring, and Mark went out of his way to help get things sorted out. I really needed their support at that moment, but it all got resolved, and the final funeral was just exactly as we wanted … even down to Angela’s suggestion of the Union Jack on her coffin to reflect her war service. And Mark led the service with kindness and dignity.

I have never physically met Angela, but arranged everything over the phone and the quality of the funeral was excellent. There was not one single problem or hiccup.

My I take this opportunity to thank all the staff at Harrison Funeral Home, particularly Yvonne, for arranging of a direct cremation on behalf of my beloved Jan who passed away unexpectedly in my arms at home. Their care was exceptional, they kept me informed as to what was taking place at all times and even went the little mile in contacting me without me having to contact them. I felt looked after and it was a great help throughout this difficult time.
Having lost my dad at the beginning of this month the thought of arranging his funeral was to say the least quite daunting as well as very painful. My daughter contacted Harrison’s when I had gone to register my dads death, then later told me she had contacted a funeral directors and they had been really nice and very helpful , the following day I contacted Harrisons and spoke to Angela ( who was like my guardian angel ) she was so lovely, very easy to talk to and made me feel that nothing was too much trouble, she was always there for me whenever I needed to speak to her , there was a few hurdles along the way and again she was so helpful and would assure me that everything would be ok and even though I don’t know her, I completely trusted her and don’t think I could have done this without her help, so I would like to say a massive Thank-You for all your help and support that you have given me at this very difficult time and you have made it so much easier for me to cope with especially knowing you are always at the end of the phone. As I had to make my husband’s funeral arrangements on my own I did not know where to start. One phone call to Harrisons and the lovely Madeleine appeared on my doorstep and took all the worries from my shoulders; her sympathetic but unobtrusive professionalism put me completely at ease and
she took over completely for me. Mark was in charge of the funeral on the day and again – what superb organisation. I cannot find sufficient words to express my gratitude to Mark and Madeleine. Many people have commented about the funeral saying how wonderful it was – and although that seems strange to say about such a sad occasion – I felt it was wonderful – thanks to Harisons.
When I lost my fiance suddenly, two years ago, I totally fell apart. At 41, I’d never lost anyone that close to me before and had absolutely no idea of how to organize a funeral. I was totally lost.
I went to a big chain of funeral directors first, but it just seemed so clinical and so expensive.
I don’t know why I called Harrison’s but I’m so glad I did. Angela Bailey was both incredibly kind but also very professional. She basically held my hand every step of the way, helping me make decisions I never thought I’d have to make. Her sympathy and advice were invaluable. At Harrison’s, there was a personal touch that really made a difference and I will be forever grateful for the way they looked after me.

Losing your mother is a traumatic experience. My mother spent months in the Royal Free Hospital, London fighting for her life, a battle she eventually lost. I live in America and had traveled back and forth several times during her stay. On the morning of her death I called Harrisons in Winchmore Hill and Madeline answered. It was not a problem for her that I had to make all the arrangements from America, we did everything by e-mail. She handled everything and it was like having a wonderful friend to guide me and give me advice.
The funeral itself went off without a hitch. The Harrisons team did a wonderful job and were so attentive to our needs. Madeline brought mum’s ashes to the house for me the next day as mum wished to be buried in a grave with her late mother in Sussex.
I can’t thank the Harrisons team enough and I highly recommend the excellent service they provide.
Facing the process of organising a funeral is beyond daunting. Albeit the bereavement leaflets, the kind words from your loved ones and those moments alone when you have to reflect on your relationship with someone you will never be able to see again. You form an unexpected relationship with a total stranger that you are going to lean on during an emotional and rather helpless time… That person is your funeral director. That person for me was Angela Bailey at Harrison Funeral Home. I had already called three funeral directors, each time they were polite and gave me the hard facts, but it was only when I spoke to Angela did I realise that my sister and I had found the right person to support us in burying our dad. Angela was kind, patient, sincere and guided both my sister and I through the entire stages of the process, most important was the fact that Angela gave us the space to be able to reflect and not worry about anything. I can’t thank the team and Angela enough. Thank you.
Our Father passed away last year and as Harrisons was local to where he lived we used them. How happy are we that we did, the amazing lady there Madelaine was kind, patient, understanding, informative and very organised. She came to visit us and talked us through the complete process step by step. The day went as planned and I am sure Dad would have been chuffed to bits as he even made his way to the Crem in a Daimler (his favourite car)! The charity donations were even taken care of!
Once we were ready to organise a memorial we of course returned to see Madelaine who liasied between us and the masons to enable us to choose the perfect option for Dad. We have just returned home from holiday to find a letter from Madelaine enclosing a picture of the memorial in place ready for a visit and flowers! She had taken care of everything for us. I would not hesitate in recommending such an amazing personal service that we were provided with. It is such a difficult time it is important to get it right first time….with Madelaine at Harrisons you can be sure of that!

Harrison’s excelled in their service when my father passed very suddenly. Nothing was too much for them and they (particularly Angela) were available every minute of the day when we had questions or needed advice. The service they provided was unfaltering from outset to conclusion.
