I don’t know whose hearse it is, but when ever there is a removal or a funeral scene, the stretchers and coffins are always moved or lifted far too easily!

Having done a little filming myself, I concur! The Bill used to use a polystyrene dummy, I should say thankfully when we were moving ‘bodies’ from the Jasmine Alan estate flats 🙂
Coffins usually bounce around on a hearse without anything to weigh them down. The other thing you notice is why burials always take place in very old cemeteries, never one still in use!

I think Tadman’s is FD of choice for soap funerals, isn’t it? I’ve asked em if the FD in the clip is an actor or one of theirs. My money is on one of theirs.

Apart from the featherweight coffin, quite a convincing depiction of a funeral tor filmed fiction. Yes, Charles, I agree the FD looks like the real thing… if I were a producer hiring a hearse from these authorities on dismal theatre I’d commission them also to help reproduce their model of the dramatic parody of grief, with its fantasy costumes and Count Dracula props, that is the expected, rather intimidating norm.
Nine out of ten for that but, Film Directors, how about challenging the norm a bit more often?
