The GFG makes it to page 1 of Google when you type in ‘co-operative funeralcare’. No SEO, no sleight of hand, what you see is where we were at 9 pm on Monday evening.

For how long? Ah, there’s the question…

Inadvertent SEO, and it just demonstrates the power of the Internet.

However, if you google ‘green funeral company Devon’ ‘rose funerals Dorset’ or ‘kingfisher funerals St Neots’ the GFG also comes up on page 1.

Ironic?

(ps the somewhat random capital letters were added by the phone!)

I Googled co-op funerals and didn’t get GFG but I did get the Sun, Guardian, Mail, Telegraph and Mirror all referring to the C4 programme using terms such as “stark contrast” “crammed” and “piling up”.

As Andrew says: “the power of the internet”

Just tried it too, and it doesn’t come up on Google down here either.

Were you logged into your Google account at the time Charles? If you were, it will find your site high up the list, because it knows.

I have just tried it as well and The Good Funeral Guide does not hit page 1 either

Funeralcare do seem to devote enormous resources to their web presence. You are unlikely to remain so high for long.
