What an extraordinary piece. Beautifully done, and fascinating. I could have watched far more.
It can only be that this practice survives in the rural communities?
In its matter of factness it reminds me of ‘departures’, that great film about a Japanese village undertaker.

I took it to mean he was born to this kind of work as his father had also done the job – but he may have been born there…..
