Funeral Director/s: Carl Marlow and Billy Spencer. Carl was getting this young enterprise off the ground when his old school friend Billy walked through the door and asked for a job. Billy trained with the Co-op. He’s a safe pair of hands and the perfect foil for Carl, the irrepressible mover and shaker. Both are notably friendly and unstuffy. They level with you.
Specific Gravity: No standing on tradition here, nor respect for the way most funeral directors operate. Take your cue from Carl: “I think there’s a lot of arrogance within funeral directors. I don’t even know why they wear a uniform. I don’t know why they walk in front of the car with a big hat and a cane – what’s that all about?"
