I was hoping that this was to be read as a poem. As fine a piece of music as it might be, I find that it overshadows the powerful words and the sentiments within them.
I quite often find this – unless I know a piece of music well, the words are obscured: yet they are where the magic lies.
I agree and was fantasising about reading it at a funeral when I came to ‘instrumental’ hmmm
Just love the simple truth in the line ‘as bad as bad becomes it’s not a part of you’.
