A crematorium has to be faith-neutral, doesn’t it?
Gosh, Charles, there would appear to be little that’s neutral about ‘faith’ – remember the death threats, which were referred to in the national press, when some tried to remove the cross at Torquay crematorium a few years ago? How about “we were a Christian society; the cultural heritage of Christianity is still very powerful, and may be of value even to non-Christians; some people in our society are Christians. But yes, we shouldn’t any longer impose a Christian symbol on everyone who uses a crematorium.”
