This reef initiative keeps coming up on news reports, so evidently it resonates with someone at least. Of course the stimulus behind this has everything to do with environmentalism and a specialized subculture than with humanity in general. The founder is a diver who wanted to save the reefs. So he figured out this clever idea to help that cause. That is what it is about.
